Join the Friends of Mill Creek Greenway and the Mill Creek Watershed Association for a morning of Weed Wrangle along the Mill Creed Greenway near Orchard Bend Park.

About the event
We will remove invasive, non-native plants, mainly bush honeysuckle and Chinese privet along the Greenway trail, which will require an approximately eight-minute walk from the main Orchard Bend parking. We will use Uprooters/Weed Wrenches, mattocks, shovels and loppers. Work gloves, energy bars, and bulk water will be provided (bring reusable water bottles). Uprooters/Weed Wrenches and some shovels, mattocks and loppers will be provided. To supplement what we provide, volunteers should bring sturdy shovels, mattocks and loppers, if available. Bring reusable water containers and safety glasses or glasses. Wear sturdy work shoes or boots, long pants and long sleeve shirts, dress in layers appropriate for weather. Mill Creek Watershed Association (MCWA) and Friends of Mill Creek Greenway (FMCGW) will be the onsite hosts for this event which is being organized county-wide by the Garden Club of Nashville and Weed Wrangle Nashville.
